Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you visit this website, book a seat in The Applause Moment, or take part in the related online prep call. Please read it before booking.

1. Who we are

The Applause Moment and this website are operated by DDD University (Leona Philippo), registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 34336627, based in Almere, the Netherlands. For any question about this policy or your data, contact [email protected].

2. Information we collect

• Booking data: your name and email address, collected when you reserve a seat through checkout.
• Payment data: processed directly by Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
• Communications: anything you send us by email or through the contact details on this site.
• Technical and cookie data: standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and device type) collected automatically, and cookies set by embedded third-party content on this page, namely Vimeo (video) and Google Maps (venue location).

3. How we use your information

• To process and confirm your booking and payment
• To send you calendar invitations, joining details for the prep call, and reminders for the live workshop
• To respond to questions you send us
• To meet our bookkeeping and tax obligations
• Where you have opted in, to let you know about future workshops or programmes

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR / AVG)

We process your data based on the performance of a contract (confirming and delivering your booking), our legitimate interest in running the workshop and answering enquiries, your consent (for optional marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligation (such as Dutch tax record-keeping rules).

5. Who we share data with

We use trusted third-party tools to run this workshop, including Stripe (payment processing), Vimeo (video hosting), Google Maps (venue location), Cloudflare (website hosting), and, where you have opted in, the email or scheduling tool we use to send confirmations and reminders. These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their function. We do not sell your data to anyone.

6. International data transfers

Some of the providers above may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to keep your data protected.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep booking and payment records for as long as required under Dutch tax law, currently seven years, and any other personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you believe your data has been mishandled. 9. Cookies

This page uses cookies placed by embedded third-party content (Vimeo and Google Maps) to make that content work. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings at any time.

10. Children's privacy

The Applause Moment is a professional development workshop and is not directed at, or intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always the one posted here.
